A fascinating opportunity to walk with highly acclaimed naturalist and author, Mark Cocker, around highlights and hidden parts of the Sunart Fields rewilding project, at these crucial early stages as the land changes. We will explore nature’s inner processes as as we look at a wide range of plants, insects, birds and fungi. We'll also discuss the practical realities of taking a rewilding approach and how this creates different forms of habitat.
Wear boots and bring waterproofs, and if you have them bring binoculars, but above all, bring a sense of wonder.
We have allowed two hours, however the walk itself will be closer to 1.5 hours and will finish in time for you to take an enjoyable lunch in Whaley Bridge (15 minute walk away) or bring a picnic to enjoy here.
Parking here is limited, so please consider parking in Whaley Bridge and walking up via the footpath.
