Find out about some of the things that are happening here at Sunart Fields.
Sunart Speaks
From time to time we host intimate talks and walks with expert speakers on a range of topics associated with nature and rewilding. With low numbers, these are a unique way to learn and connect directly with rewilding.
Volunteering
In tandem with allowing trees and scrub to develop through natural regeneration, with the help of volunteers we also plant trees and hedgerows to accelerate habitat restoration. Other activities include stone walling and Himalayan Balsam bashing. Please contact us to register interest.
Forest School
Our forest school facilities include tree strung canopies, log seating around a fire circle, a compost toilet and nature viewing hides. These can be rented out by specialist educators and dedicated groups. Users include The Girl Guiding Association, Scouts, Being Outdoors and The Sea Within. To find out more please contact us.
RHS Tatton Show 2021
In July 2021 we won an RHS Gold medal and Best in Category at the RHS Tatton Flower show with our border entitled Weed Thriller. This was a distilled version of the Sunart Fields land showing how species usually considered weeds can be both beautiful and rewarding in the garden setting. The border attracted much interest from the national press. Find out more here.
Sustainable Florestry
Beautiful, local and natural foliage supplied direct to local florists, who add their own magic to create arrangements for weddings, bouquets and Christmas decorations. Everything is hand harvested from selected locations where species are abundant. Find our more here.
Organic wild range meat
We sell wild range meat from the small number of livestock we have grazing and rooting on the pastures. These animals are an essential part of ensuring a natural balance exists on the land, and their meat is lean and natural. Find our more here.
Dry stone walling courses
Fancy learning the traditional craft of dry stone walling? Expert High Peak dry stone waller Connor Lomax runs dry stone walling courses and volunteer days on the land. Visit our events page to see what’s coming up or to register your interest for future dates please email us.
